Yes absolutely. This is true for all mammals male or female. The perceived social value of our sexual partner is a reflection on our own prowess and ability to get the best mate.
The man with the better looking/smarter girlfriend will be given greater regard by his male peers and will also find it easier to attract other females. Social proof is one of the primary motivators in sexual attraction for both men and women.

not judge each other... but they do envy you if you have a beautiful partner...
so many guys oth there without one...
personally I like when guys say to me... (Shocked & Awed) "Is that YOUR wife?"... and i camly reply... yes, and it gives me great pleasure to know that other guys ind my wife attractive, as it means she knows she is attractive, well she should do, and not just me saying it to her...
