Kelly Clarkson, 'cos she's one Pop Idol that I can hear her music now and not think "Oh, that Pop Idol chick". In other words I think she's doing a really good job of establishing herself and I admire that. And she sings songs a lot of people might be able to relate to, she's real.

Why aren't their any country singer? What about Reba, the rascal Flatt's, Toby Keith, Gretchen Wilson, Kenny Chesney. If you ask me 99% of the country singers out there have a better voice then 99% of any pop artist because really pop artists are alot of appearance and they sing what you want to hear. Where in country music they sing what they feel. Seriously compare anyone on the list about and honestly tell me that they have a better vocal appearance then Shaina twain, faith hill, Tim mcgraw, any of them really!! But, if I had to choose in life and death, Janet Jackson is now a crack head however, her voice I would say is the best, until recently with her crack addiction. She's probably the only one that made herself a star without paying thousands of dollars. Her manager and guide and teacher/coach was her father. Yes the Simpson's father was there manager and the person that pushed them but he didn't teach them anything. Janet didn't have to learn anything!

By the way I did read the entire question that why I choose one.....I had to i just thru my opinion in there as well!

I LOVE KELLY CLARKSONS VOICE. CIARA HAS AN OK VOICE AND CHRISTINA HAS ALWAYS HAD A VOICE. EVEN THOUGH SHE WENT THROUGH A PERIOD OF BEING A HOE, SHE HAS A DAMN GOOD VOICE. JANET IS OK TO. ASHLEY AND BRITNEY DONT HAVE A SINGING ABILITY. ESPECIALLY BRITNEY. AND JESSICA IS BLAH.

None of these of course. Corporate-packaged garbage. Imagine how all the people out there feel who have genuine talent and are struggling (financially) as they practice and promote their art. Then they see these prima donnas achieve success. It must surely be demoralizing.
