The other day my husband and I went to the park.
We often stop and talk to people for some reason.
I guess you could say we are people people...lol
Anyway we met this really nice gentleman and ended up
talking with him for quite some time. And as we were
leaving I looked back and said " See You Later"
Remember this guy is a total stranger, and I will more than likely never see him again.... ANYWAY
I have laughed about what i said for two days now....
I will be in my car and think "see you later?" and bust a gut laughing
I will be in the middle of a crowded grocery store and think "see you later?' and lose it laughing hysterically , while everyone is looking at me wondering what on earth is she laughing at.....lol
This has gone on and on for two days now , I am even laughing about it now as I type this............IS THIS NORMAL LOL

Often it's not the exact thing we say that is funny but the situation and context we're in when we or others say something, a dumb joke can be really funny when you're in the right mood and will be funny for years after even though it isn't even a good joke.
I do think it's normal, don't know the psychology behind it but perhaps all you need is a good laugh!!!

Nah that's pretty normal I guess. Sure I had the same effect when my brother came home in crutches and a huge leg cast wrapped around his right leg. He hobbled in moaning and groaning, and I instinctively said "Anything happen today"...and then laughed at him lol...not good...

no it is not normal. most people say something to that effect and it means nothing. See you later, depending on tone and inflection, is a throw away statement. You can stop laughing.

I do that all the time. So I guess it's not that normal... but other people do it too so, you're not alone.
