I have dell computer and recently I format and install xp then when I try to play a movie there is no cd rom drive icon in my computer.I wait your response soon.

actually its a rainy season thts y u r getting this problem,just ask to your system administrator.....firstly turn off the computer properly,and aftr 5 min chek out if cd rom is working ,if not thn contact him.

You may need to re-install the drivers for the CD rom drive. Also if the movie was on DVD format, you will need to have a DVD player not a CD player...

See if you recieved a driver-CD along with the CD-ROM drive .
IF yes just install it and everything will be fine
Or else remove the CD-Rom from the PC and re-connect it .This usually solves the problem

reboot your computer press f1 to enter setuP(its for compaq)click on general tab search for your cd drives and click on enable it
