At 36 I think Malisse is dangerous as all hell , but loves to tank the second set if he loses the first. My favorite is Mardy Fish. Obviously because he is American , but he has every shot . He is a pure athlete with a dangerous serve who has proved in the past he can go on minny runs and win some matches. If I was coaching him, I would lock him in the weight room then the sports psychiatrist to figure out what his confidence problem is all about.
My least favorite is Max Mirinyi. He is so one dimensional . Serve , that is it. Ground strokes and volleys he is equal to a division one collegian player. His serve is great . I know , but that 6'8 frame he has hotting 140 and then not even being in the next return game is not fun to watch. You know how in basketball they say just to watch the last two minutes of each half, well with Mirinyi its lets just wait for the tiebreaker. I will always root against any french player just because they hate us so why not give it back to them at the Open. Federer will most likely win the open , but the Americans will show up for this one. Great question.

From the top 50 - 100 in the ATP rankings, I would say I like to watch #74 Marat Safin the most. Safin is extremely talented, hits one of the heaviest balls on tour, and can play unbelievably at times. Then there are other times when you just shake your head and say I can't believe he just did that, what was he thinking. Players like the Rochus brothers and Fabrice Santoro drive him nuts. Then in the next tournament Marat can play Great and take down the whole field. Its Really remarkable to see a guy go through both extremes. My least favorite is #83 Justin Gimelstob. I actually like to watch Justin play with his big game and in your face style, but he takes it way too far at times and insults ball girls, linespersons, chair umpires, fans, pretty much anyone within earshot that he has a problem with. I have seen him bring a ball kid to tears, get a linesperson so screwed up that they asked to be removed, and an entire crowd booing him. But I have to say it definately wasn't boring. Some of his actions are downright deplorable, and it reminds many people of the tantrums McEnroe and Nastase used to pull.

My favorite is Max "The Beast" Mirnyi. messtograves obviously has no idea what he's talking about. He's not 6'8, he's only 6'5. And he is much more than just a serve. If he was just a serve he wouldn't be #2 in the doubles standings with Jonas Bjorkman, and he would never have been a top 20 player like he was before he began to focus almost exclusively on doubles. Being a doubles player myself, I love to watch him play doubles more than anyone else. I'll agree that his groundstrokes aren't good by any means, but he has tremendous reach and power on his volleys, making him one of the toughest players in tennis when he gets to the net. My least favorite is Mardy Fish because he is extremely talented as a serve-and-volleyer, but he spends most of his time underachieving

My favorite player in that range (currently at 59) is Tim Henman. His style of play is nice and it's hard not to get caught away with the Henmania at Wimbledon. 2004 was a great year to watch. And how 'bout having the honor of being the first guy to be ejected from Wimbledon in over a hundred years.
Least favorite is Vince Spadea. His game kind of bugs me. And he has his stupid rapping. Nuff said.
