A few facts:
- The "Arabs" are not all of one race- the Arabs before Mohammed were confined to the Arabian peninsula. Most of the rest of the "Arab" cultures spoke a language other than Arabic until they converted to Islam (ie Egypt spoke Coptic). So even if the "Arabs" of Mohammed's time were the descendants of Abraham through Ishmael as Muslims claim, it doesn't mean that all Arabs would necesarily be- although the "Arabian" Arabs did intermarry with those who became Arab throughout the Middle East.
- Some cultures converted to Judaism en masse throughout the ages, so it is not sure how much original Semitic stock is left in today's Jews.
Having said that, Hebrew and Arabic do belong to the same language family- the Hamito/Semitic languages, so it stands to reason that there is a great degree of genetic similarity with the Jews and Arabs of 2000 years ago.

I'm not an expert, but I think that they are closely related if not the same. This is true for Israelis whose families never left Israel or at least its immediate vicinity since ancient times. Because of the Jewish diaspora and the fact that many Israelis or their immediate ancestors came from other countries in the last century, however, this isn't as true for those Israelis due to so much inter-marriage with people from other lands. For example, many Jews who came from Europe during or after WW-II look (and are) European; not Middle-Eastern.
Of course all people have a common origin (East Africa) if you go back far enough in time.

In a way no, Israel is a country where the Jews from all around the world (Mostly Europe) gathered and made it a state. The Arab Jews are genetically the same as Arab Muslims & Arab Chirstians.
However, by religious rules, A Jew can only be a Jew by Birth. One cannot convert to judaism by choice.

from what I know, most Israelis are Jews from Europe. YEs! Palestine ( now mostly Israel) was controlled by England. After World war 2, England divided ( this must have been a hobby)Palestine into Israel, Gaza Strip and West Bank just to give the Jews of Europe their so called Holy land. This was done out of sympathy after the Haulocaust.
It is pretty complicated but to answer your questions. Not at all! However, some Israelis are Arabs ( Palestinians who managed to hold on to their land)
Today, many Jews from Canada, Usa, Poland, Jupiter, Mars ( You name it !) are going to Israel because Jews beleive it is their Holy land. Dont you think they are fanatics? I mean their land has blood all over but they point the finger at the Muslims. Sad

Israelis are made up of Jewish people from eastern Europe, Arab countries and a little bit from Ethiopia, therefore you can not say that they are genetically the same people! However, this could be true regarding Jews who originate from Arab countries.

Arabs and israelis are both from the same parent, Abraham. they are half brohters from different mothers. You can go to islamicity.com. check from the topic index search and look for portions in the Holy Qur'an where they talk most especially about the story of Abraham.

Genetically, yes. If they didn't have a government that held them down, and a religion that cared more about terrorism than thought, they would be able to produce more scientists, doctors, scholars, etc,.too.

yes because Abraham wanted a son, but his wife couldn't conceive, so he had one of her servants get pregnant with his child, but then all of a sudden his wife got pregnant, so now he was going to have two sons. One from his real wife and one from the surrogate mother. Needless to say, Abraham favored his wife's son and the surrogate mother felt her son got the shaft. So there was bad blood between the two women and then their sons, and so on and so on and so on. I guess the two boys were half brothers. They should make a soap opera based on this premise.
