Why do they call the darker ones not of that ethnic group and only accept the blonder fairer ones? Why?

They believe that darker Italians have some ancestors from Africa from long ago. It is a totally arbitrary distinction tho. Hannibal made it all the way into the Alps and it is likely that his troops fathered some children in the northern regions as well. I think it is mostly an emotional rejection. They don't want to include dark Italians because they have physical similarities to Arabs and Jews.

sicily as far as most italians are concerned is not part of italy,they are regarded with mistrust because of the mafia tag,also sicilians are mixed with arabs greeks and turks,so the north consider them as a mixed race,and not true italian,in fact the majority of imigrant 98% that have gone to other countries are in fact sicilian.very few northern italians
