I tried for 15 years......I think thats quite enough. When your spouse admits they didn't respect you for 13 of those 15 years I think divorce is a legitimate option. You can't get back 13 years of sleeping with someone when they didn't respect you.

Becuase they have been given the free pass to a better future by getting money for nothing outta you so they can go on living a fantasy dream life with someone else or even alone in the clouds. The society and the law is as such that they feel they can take advantage of it and bail when things get a bit too tricky/hot to handle or need trying at....Its too much hard work otherswise man compared to trying. In simple terms, it has been made TOO EASY to divorce.If it was made harder with more pre-conditions, a lot more people would think twice and would stick around longer and try instead.

Because some marriages were a mistake from the get go...and why work on it if there is no hope...I would rather divorce than stay in a loveless marriage

if it is abuse in any sort it's time.if they dont want to work at the marriage that means they don't value their vows.people that dont value things like that are worthless to begain with.u r probably better off.it sorry for ur lost.
