like most pills you need to be on it 7 days before it is effective so use other forms of contraception during that time period.
Also antibiotics can stop it from working.

I have put a link in for you to read.

Hope this helps :-)

I was on it for years. It is a contraceptive pill so you will not need any other contraception unless you need to consider STDs or are very against a child! It is not prescribed as a pill alone now due to the greatly increased risk of deep vein thrombosis, hence they might make you pay for it. If they do you need to get a letter from your GP saying that you are also using it as a contraceptive. Due to the increased risk it has you generally should not be on it for longer than a few years, so do ensure that your doctor knows this if you have been on it a long time.

If you are taking a contraceptive pill you should use what is called a back up method such as
condoms for the first month of using your
birth control before you can start to have unprotected sex.

the best contraceptive is to have no sex = no problems, no anxiety, more happiness. To avoid it you need a spiritual wisdom and a higher taste for spiritual life. Form more info visit Krishna.com

What about STDs? Are you and your partner exclusive and are you sure that neither of you have an STD that you could pass backwards and forwards to each other? What did your GP say?
