Now people, listen up. A war is when a country or countries officially declare WAR on another country or countries.
Anything else is a police action, skermish, incident or affray.
Vietnam was a police action, The Gulf, Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon are police actions.
I do not consider what Israel did in "invading" another country is right. Hizbullah is not a country, so no war could be declared, so Israel had no right invading. If that was so then what Saddam did in Kuwait was legal too.....He called it annexure.
No one wins, you are correct there. You can't blame the Israelis for fighting back. There is no way to stop these type of conflicts that have been around for centuries. I do hope peace can prevail on all sides or the middle east will be the beginning of WW 3.

Well if Hezzbollah doesnt comply I'm sure we will all see...But all I know is it would be impossible to say Israel lost although I have seen some ignorant people cheering from rubble I guess they were happy about it and they were the same people call Israel evil war mongers..then when Israel agrees to stop they scream that they are victorious some people make no sense when Americans and Israelis claim Muslims don't understand cease fire and only listen when they are thourghy defeated perhaps people will quit calling them war mongers and allow them to finish the job.

Since nobody received a trophy, I'd say there was no winner. However, Bush as usual had to speak up and he says Israel won... ummm, Is he just being dumb again or is he saying so because the US is backing Israel?
Israel says they attacked Lebanon because Hezbollah had 2 of their soldiers... did Israel get their soldiers back? NO.
Hezbollah was defending their position in Lebanon against Israel ......... did they lose their position? NO, they are still in Lebanon and they are still armed.
The war has not ended, we can only pray for stability.

If Hezbollah had won the war, the Jews would be swimming for their lives right now, but last time I watched the news they were still in Lebanon.

Very truly don’t be emotional don’t think that i am very much supporter of hazbullah just giving you my views that you must admit that this was not war this was clearly offensive against hazullah and this was preplanned becauze this was not a very big issue that you two soldiers kidnapped ( you cant say kidnapped these were war prisoners) but Israel make it issue to start their preplan war and world see that they fail to achieve their goal and fail to destroy the hazbullah fighters hazbullah was not fighting they were defending but see what did israil they mass destruction of childrens yes hazbullah also did it but on soldiers not childern so conclusion is that israel got defeat but hazbullah defended very well? and Israel must take a lesson from it.

No one won. Give em a few years and they can go at it again. If you look at it Hezbollah was fully backed by Iranian missles... they should have won, but they suck...next time the US will jump into it on Israels side and we'll see whats up...

unfortunately, the war's far from over. The fighting will never stop over there. As long as there are religious fanatics on both sides, they will always be fighting.
