It was a very long time ago for me but, I recommend the first thing you do is to put on your seat belt and make sure you see that the instructor has his/her seat belt on. If they don't put it on it is probably a test to see if you will ask them to put it on so make sure you do. Do not change lanes un-necessarily and if you have to, remember to put on your turn signal. Also they will be looking to see how courteous you are with other drivers, so do what you can to let other go first. keep two full car lengths distance and keep your hands at the ten and two o'clock positions. The book will show you a diagram of the positions of your car and another car to help you parallel park, remember the positions. The book explains how to parallel perfectly it is ALL about how far you should pull up before you put it into reverse. good luck.

you will automatically fail if you do a "dangerous maneuver"...and that could include nearly hitting another car or turning into the wrong lane when making a left turn or going straight in a right turn only lane....all of those are reasons three of my friends failed.
The best advice I can give you is to practice, a lot....and practice in the area you will be taking the test in, that way you will be more familiar with the roads.
Make sure you can look over your shoulder without jerking the wheel, and look to your rear view mirrors often.
You will need to back up in a straight line so practice that too.
Just relax, try not to get too worked up about it or you will stress yourself into failing.
And if you DO fail, just remember...a LOT of people fail the first time.

Not sure what state you're from. Be sure to practice as much as possible in the car that you'll be using and familiarize yourself with the course. You need to have a very good feel for the dimensions of the car so you can do a 3 point turn without getting nervous. You also need to be able to judge your speed at slow speeds. I passed my test on the first try but I was incredibly nervous.

Not if u know how to drive. Be calm! If u are too nerves u might do somethings that u know u could have prevented. I talked to my driver, she was cool, just don't be so tense that u speed my best friend did. OH and make sure u come to a complete stop!!! U have to feel the back tires stop. I got marked off for that...lol

i bet you'll have no problems, its really pretty easy. the only thing i think they would probably automatically fail you for is getting in a wreck while taking the test. but just be careful, take it slow, pay attention and you'll do great! one thing i got marked down on was when i stopped at a stop sign i didnt stop in before the sign but rather stopped a few feet after the sign, but it was no big deal. Good luck and let me know how it goes! (if you want)

Get plenty of practice driving before taking the test. Just relax while taking the test and show that you are aware of every thing going on. Check your mirrors very frequently. Probably practice parallel parking. It's no big deal.
