Where were you when Mark Chapman shot Aaron Lennon?

I was standing not a dozen yards away from Lennon at The Dakota, at the corner of West 72nd Street and Donny Osmond Avenue in Manhattan, Hawaii, when the fatal injection of Diet Coke was administered.

Lennon collapsed to the ground, with fizzy black foam coming out of his nostrils. Before the medics rushed him away I heard him say: 'Tell Axl and Slash to put it all behind them...I don't want to see it end this way...I promise I'll never join Arsena - ack...(silence)'

And that was that, basically.

Chapman made no attempt to resist arrest.

I'm guessing you mean John Lennon here. It's funny because I was only four at the time, but I do remember. I'm certain I was watching The Monkees on TV when my Mum came in to break the news to my Dad.
