i can work through the download client like limewire but i when i try to open inter explorer :" the page can not be displayed box appers" what should i do?

I know it sounds primitive but power down your modem and let it reset, it usually works for me.

Assuming you have tried restarting the computer including powering everything down from the powerbar and turning it all back on... and the browsers still won't run.
If you have a firewall - you may want to check to see if there is a rule that was recently created which prevents those applications from starting or running properly.

Check you IE properties or go to uninstall and there you get the option to repair.
It could of corse be a Video card proplem (it happend to me) everything worked but my internet con.via IE

go to tools->options->connection settings ans check how you are connected to the internet
