i have a friend who is a boy. he is very kind to me. he may like me, but i am not sure about it.
Last week, he must fly to work in another country for 1 year. On his departure day, I was sick so I couldnt see him off at the airport. I called him to say sorry about it. And he said: " U are sick since u lack of 1 thing - a boy friend". He was very calm when he said that. He seemed to think of his sentence before saying that, i mean he prepared to say that.
What is the meaning of his sentence? What is he thinking?

Forget him. He's gone for a year. And, he didn't ask you to go with him?
Get out there and find someone else.

If you wish to know his intention towards you, your should gently and calmly probe the question to him when opportunity arise, If he is sincere and truthful he should be able to explain the meaning.
Dont waste time on those who expect to let you guess and think what he meant. If a person really like another, his/her words must match the act and deed, otherwise when the relationship got deeper you- you just wish it had not started in the first place.
If you sincerely felt for him, you must be prepare to sort out this little doubts with him or understand his personality, which if left unsettle can cause great stress-On the other hand, you should continue to meet up with other guys/gals that will offer you a better perspective and choices not guessing games!
( he should be understanding & care enough to to thank you for calling him and you to take care, not some kind of a "Phrase" that keep you wondering!

Well, it was either some weird, round-about way of hinting he might like to be that boyfriend, or he's a chauvinist. Probably would have to know the rest of the conversation to know for sure.

--he's just telling you the truth...in case you really dont have a boyfriend. 'Twas a plain statement...Likewise if he liked u then he should have told you frankly ...apologizing to him is enough for your failure to send him off ...then finally forget him...focus your attention to other things...
