After a while the drink will control you rather than you controlling the drink whether you are underage or an adult. And I don't think in this age anyone would want to be a slave

Great question
Us English people have a tendency of underage drinking (with parental endorsement) from a very early age...I was 12 and occasionally drank wine at the dinner table...
My folks thought it was better to start with them than with my friends. I did that too: got majorly hammered, got sick as a sickie monster and didn't do it that way again.
Part of the learning curve for me though, I learnt from those mistakes quickly...so damage yes: useful lesson definitely!

I think people know too much alcohol is bad for human body. It seems ridiculus to me to allow adult to "kill" themselves by drinking too much alcohol while the same time telling underage child not to drink alcohol. I certainly won't encourage my child to drink alcohol, but I will make myself a good example for him so that he knows alcohol is just alcohol, it is not something so "cool" or "fun" as other people told him. Then he can make his own choice when he grow up.

Drinking is totally over rated. It is ok when there is a celebration like a wedding or something, but to drink on a daily basis just to "relax" is just a complete waste of time and money.

Drinking definately is not so good foe anyone. If one hasn't started drinking he must make it a point to never do so.For those who have started drinking , occasional drinking and limited drinking is okay, and those with a problem need to fix it soon. However, it's ideal to not consume alcohol

i think its ok if youre safe and in control but that doesnt always happen, so that is where i have a problem with it. and it is quite fun. but i very much understand why you feel the way you do about it as many people, when not responsible, do cause harm. have a good one :)

It is very dangerous and you are correct "pointless" too. You seem to have a lot of common sense.
