We met in 4th grade, went to school together, but not friends. He reappeared through a mutual friend. We started spending time as friends. We had a long conversation about what we wanted in life and something clicked.
I saw him in a different light. We gave a trial period of 2 weeks to date. That was 5 years ago and we're very much in love.
I went from not interested to being in love within 2 weeks. Hasn't fluctuated since.
YES.. so so dates can lead to love.

Yes if they are slightly boring then you have more time to get to know the person in a real life setting as long as it's the situation that's boring and not the person that's boring if the first few dates are really buzzing then they tend to get to the point where they're a bit boring anyway and then things start going wrong at least if there room for improvement at the start it has a chance of getting better

first dates can be akward so it is when you become more comfortable with the person that you really start to bond and can see if there is any deeper feelings, often when you meet someone and think immediatly it is love it is just lust and wears off pretty quickly.

absolutely. a date is just to get to know a person and they can often be really uncomfortable...after you know the person better is the only way to really tell if you are interested or not
