Dubai is part of the United Arab Emirate. It is both a city and an Emirate (country). It is classed as the tourist capital of the U.A.E. although Abu Dhabi is the actual capital.
It is situated on the S.E. corner of the Arabian penisular and borders Saudi Arabia to the west and The Sultanate of Oman to the south. It is a very modern city and extremely westernised.

Dubai, is a major city in one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates. It is a prominent sea-port and recently a major trading powerhouse and has a twin city in Abu Dhabi. With oil at all time highs this region is witnessing mammoth development and it can truly be considered the Muslim world equivalent of the French Riviera.

Its in the united arab emirate which are at the bottom of saudi arabia. Not much there till 20yrs ago when they realised they were running out of oil so have invested a lot in tourism, it rocks! even has an indoor snow skiing place!
