Everyone who wears braces is trying to be fashionable. In reality, most people who get braces do so out of vanity. Relatively few people who get them would be unable to eat had they not gotten them. It is a matter of personal image to straighten one's teeth for "perfect" smile.
I once heard a group of stuck up old biddies complaining about Patricia Arquette, saying, "she makes enough money, why doesn't she fix her teeth?"
One of the most beautiful women in the world, supermodel Lateitia Casta, has an "imperfect" smile, and most people wouldn't even realize it.

I'm sure some do. Since a lot of young people are getting them, there's not too much of a stigma on them anymore. People would rather have braces for a few years than crooked teeth. So teenagers figure, "Well, might as well make the most of it" and get their favorite colors, etc.

Yes, people will do anything to be fashionable. I know one person who wears - get this - glasses frames without lenses to be fashionable! Another I know his shoes on the wrong feet - ON PURPOSE! Still another wears many different colors of lipstick on her lips at the same time..........

i dont think someone would like to be in pain to be fashionable. I mean uncomfortable shoes in one thing but mouth pain is a totally different thing.
