No there are various types of luster that make a mineral shiny vitreous (or glassy) luster is also shiny, as is greasy luster and adamantine (brilliant, like a diamond) other kinds of luster are less shiny such as earthy, dull or waxy Idf it looks like a metallic shiny then it is considered to be a metallic luster
