If it's breakfast for your boss, it is not impolite to say no, but have a cup of coffee, while your boss is eating.

If it's lunch/dinner, order something light (e.g. salad), even if you were not hungry, and pretend like you were eating (e.g. pretend like you are trying to find a particular vegetable to eat on your plate every now and then).

You could order something heavier like steak - even if you have no intention to eat it. In that case, slowly cut the food in pieces, and push them into one side of the dish as if you were eating.

If asked why you were not eating the food you ordered, tell the boss you were a bit nervous with the interview or you were too fascinated by the job desribed by the boss

Good luck!

Thats a sticky difficulty. i imagine its too late now to assert definite because you already advised him no that youre now unlikely on interviews. That'll merely seem undesirable on your area in case you on the prompt went back and reported definite. in case you reported definite or if youre figuring out to inform him, you may want to get fired on the spot and that i recognize for constructive i visit't lose my pastime even as searching for yet another one. exceptionally if funds is an argument on your on the prompt. merely suck it up in the recommend time and good luck on the pastime search for. also, in case you tell your boss the reality. they could fireplace you in uncomplicated words because why might want to they pay someone who doesn't opt to be there. they could somewhat pay someone who might want to settle for the salary and artwork.

It's all right to politely decline. Don't get all uptight about guessing some ulterior motives. Just be yourself and be honest. Fear stinks and your interviewer will know it.
