when i invite my friend to view web cam on yahoo messesnger it says not advalible but my cam is workin ok can you tell me wots wrong plz

i don't know if yahoo has the same sort of options as msn messenger, but when i originally set my web cam up to use with msn messenger, i had to go through like a audio and visual configuration and let it detect the webcam and modify settings for colour etc.
it might be worth trying a webcam conversation with someone else who has got one, not the friend who you know it doesn't work with, then you'll be able to find out if its a problem at your end or your friends.

Ok, try reinstall its drivers.
And by the way... What kind of Internet connection do you have?
Because if you have dial-up or something like it, your web cam won't work on yahoo messenger on that connection speed.
It needs a wider transmission band to actually work.

This happens to me occasionally and usually I just keep hitting the web cam button till it works. Sometimes it takes up to six hits to do it. Once in a while I need to switch the computer off and on to cure it.
