I thought they attacked us on 9/11 because the terrorists hate our freedoms? So how does Bush respond, by taking our freedoms, and privacy's. Nothing like a good dose of the patriot act to help terrorists.

Does that mean when Bush try's to make America into George Orwells 1984, the war is over and Bin Laden wins? They hate our freedoms so lets tap phones. They hate our freedoms so lets check peoples search engine records. They hate our freedoms so lets monitor everybody's banking habits. They attacked us because of our freedoms, so lets keep track of people buying or renting books.

Bush and the boys probable are doing stuff to spy on us that we don't even know about yet. Maybe that's why Bush is slowly taking away our freedoms slowly but surely. Maybe he thinks if we don't have any freedoms left, the terrorists will stop attacking.

to heres what I. Try reading the details of the question and you'll have your answer moron.

And that dumb comment about enjoying this country for what it is. What the hell does that have to do with freedom taking?

That answer has nothing to do with the question, if I didn't know better I'd say your trying to pull the old "you hate America" routine. Not gonna work here pal, nobdy buys that one anymore.

I usually see a connection between Animal Farm and what is playing out in America at the moment - but 1984 works as well. Yay for George... George Orwell.

Basically - a terrorist seeks to keep the victims in fear even when they are not actively attacking. I think in this case they have won and won big.

If I close the road you normally drive because the bridge is about to collapse, am I taking a necessary precaution or should I just put up a sign that says drive at your own risk. If you miss the sign you would probably be the first to sue because I didn't close the road. Do you really think anyone in the government really cares about your conversations with your girl, mother, or your professor. If any-ones banking is being checked it would be people with large amounts of cash. And I don't hear the super rich worrying, just pathetic little paranoid people who believe they are being followed by big brother and about to be living in some fictional police state. You can still go where you want, say what you want, buy what you want, practice any religion you want, or be an Atheist if you want. And without some security measures you might get to be on the next plane that hits a building. I would rather give them my phone records than see three thousand people die again. What are you hiding?

You saw 1984 when you first heard the term Politically Correct. Your reasoning is effected by an extreme leftist bias. The Dems have taken more liberties at peacetime than Bush does to keep your sorry asss from being blown up by the rag-heads who have sworn to destroy you.

You don't deserve the great President that George Bush is. He is doing everything he can to protect our Country, and you sit around and try to knock his legs out from under him. You deserve exactly what it is you are asking for. Unfortunately I don't and neither does the American public. So cowards like you get a free ride on our backs.

you sound slightly paranoid ...I'm not a big fan of Bush either right now but he is ruled by every means by the military...what do you want him to do just sit back and let the savages take us again from the inside out and be more successful than they were before...they are here living and breathing and working and yes even here on yahoo answering your questions., among us..so they have to do whatever means necessary to to weed them out...i think it's a small price to pay.
