Penguins do not live in the North Pole - only in the South Pole. They only live south of the equator - in the southern hemisphere - but there are 17 different species of penguins and 4 of these live on Antartica (4 species not 4 penguins) haha :o)

There aren't any penguins at the north pole. You get polar bears there instead.
If you find someone that knows this, a sure fire way to annoy them is to talk about polar bears eating penguins.

two different types of birds and the terrain, food,and amount of food, predators...etc these are all different in the two hemispheres. and they cause the two to be very different. Just like people. Different races, yet all human.:)
