Panacea, you seem to have an annoying preference for supporting Israeli actions rather than looking at the situation in a more even-handed, critical way. That attitude is your prerogative, but it's not my way. Personally, I think all the parties to the expanded Mid East situation are all behaving badly and irrationally. Now then, I guess I should have said Israel did not invade Lebanon like the US did not invade Iraq. I guess I should have also said that they are just visiting and will be leaving soon and that any messes they may have created and left behind were just the unfortunate harmless antics of wild party goers which the hosts and some friends of the hosts is expected to clean up. Yeah right!

Finally, I'd appreciate it if you would stop attacking my Q's and me and try answering the Qs without your biases showing. Make your case rationally and stop the cheap shots trying to "poison the well."(Look it up on the net if you don't know what the phrase means.)TWH 08172006

Oh Panacea one last thing--I think your idea of a nuke exchange in the Mid East between Israel and the Muslim States as a way to peace is totally insane and immoral for many, many reasons. Where does a pro-violence idea like that come from?

No this will not lead to peace killing thousands of innocent people only leads to anger and vengence by the families of people slaughtered for no good reason. Exchange of prisoners would have been a more logical way of dealing with the capture of prisoners. No one in their right mind would beleive that bombing a country to solve problems is the way forward for world peace and those who wish for killing of people in the name of anything have just been watching too many war movies they are not really connected to the reality of the situation and had they truly had to experience losing a brother sister child or anyone close to them under a bomb they would not be talking like this. no one has the right to take anothers life peace wil only come when people on this earth realise this.So dont give hate a chance Peace love and light to you

The land of "Israel" should be split in half. The northern half would be Palestine and the southern half Israel.

In the middle occupying Jerusalem would be the new U.N. HQ with a corridor that divides these lands from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea. Stationed there should be 200,000 man Rapid Reaction Force capable of delivering a serious smack down to ANYONE in the region that acts out of line.

This solution creates peace in the region and gets the U.N. out of New York .

No peace will not come by an invasion.
War makes more war. Always has.
War will not stop until everyone is under one set of rules and we are all taught how to treat one another from conception.

But that will not come yet. Nuclear war will start 1st. September 12, 2006 will start nuclear war. That is what I believe after reading a site called lastdayswarning. There is a lot of scriptual proof and current events.

First of all, Israel did not invade Lebanon. Lebanon attacked Israel with massive rocket fire for no reason whatsoever, forcing Israel to attempt to stop them. When someone shoots hundreds of rockets at you and you go over there to stop them, that does not in any way qualify as an invasion.

And no, it will make the situation worse as Israel bowed to insane anti-semitic pressure from the international community and left Hezbollah alive. Even as I write this, Syria is rearming Hezbollah for an immediate resumption of attacks on Israel. And Iran has basically said they will provide Hezbollah with nukes to be used immediately this August 22-23. Once they lob a nuke at Israel, Israel will likely respond by killing every single living thing in Lebanon, Iran and Syria with a massive nuclear strike of their own.

That will, of course, result in peace.....but the cost.

Not Really. It will create more hatred to Israel. The only way for these two to coexist is if they both forgot about each other. For Israel to be safe, it should give Hezbollah what it want(which is very reasonable and possible). Maybe in the near future they will have a peace deal.

This is biblical, there will not be peace over there till the end of the world. THey all hate each other and that will never change. Iran doesn't want Israel gone, they want to control the whold world, their version of Islam says that they will not receive their reward (heaven and butt loads of virgins) until Iran controls all of the earth.

No because they didn't finish the job.
The early ceasefire will just give the terrorists time to regroup and rearm....with the ball-less UN force watching it happen.
Then the war will resume.
