Well, not having sex is the best way to prevent pregnancy. But of course, we live in the real world. A drug store home pregnancy test MIGHT already work, but for best results, you should wait until the day your period is due.
If your periods are regular, you probably ovulated about 14 days after the 1st day of bleeding (14 days after July 23), but that wouldn't be the only day you were fertile. And if your period isn't regular, then who knows...
If you live somewhere where you can get the "Morning After" pill, sometimes called "Plan B", you can take that now and prevent the egg, if fertilized, from implanting. You need to go to a doctor or pharmacist, or Planned Parenthood, to ask for that.

More than likely you have passed your most fertile time which would have been August 6th or 7th. That being said you have a lowered chance of being pregnant, but it's only lowered not completely out of the woods. Since it was three days ago, you are also unable to take the morning after pill that would start your period right now. Sperm are tough little buggers and they can live for up to 7 days inside of you after sex. Most likely you need to wait until your next period should start, but I think you can take the at home test 3-5 days before your period should start.

Good luck! I hope that everything turns out the way you want it!

if you dont know what to do to prevent pregnancy then you need to go back to school and get an education before you ever think about sex again. Grow up before thinking about sex. They call people under the age of 18 children because that is what you are, a Child. So act like one and when you grow up then you can worry about adult things.

Next time, try to take protective measures. If your having sex alot, then go to your doctor and talk about going on the pill if you dont want to get pregnant. If the condom breaks or you didn't use one, ask your doctor the next day for the "Morning After Pill" It makes you feel like crap for about 2-3 days, so condoms are much better!

wait a few days, and go see a gynocologist. if you had unprotected sex, you need to be tested for pregnancy as well as a variety of STD's. you can be pregnant, considering your last menstruation. if you are pregnant, the only way to "prevent" it now is an abortion. it's too late to take an ECP and way too late to take the pill.
