I own a 2001 Toyota Corolla with about 88700 miles. The problem is that everytime I start up the engine from a cold start it makes this high pitched squeaking noise. The noise sounds like it is coming from the timing belt however, it is still in good condition. Also after driving for about 15-20 min the sound will jsut stop. What do you think it might be? Any help would be appreciated. :)

its the serpentine belt most likely. you probably got a bearing on one of the pulleys thats going so the belt slides over it, and then the bearing starts spinning once its good and warmed up.

Your belt could be dirty but most likely either to tight/to loose
when compones heat up they expand and that could explain the noise Try to put a bit of soap on your belts and listen if the noise changes.
on the other hand you should check all your oil levels oil expands a lot and if you low on power steering fluid that makes the pump and the belt squeek
Take care

Both my Toyota pickups (91 & 93) do that. My problem was caused when i washed the engines. Water got into one of the components. I can't rememer which one, I think it's the altenator.

does it sound like you are burning rubber? check the fan belts, both for the aircon compressor (if you have), alternator and power steering. it's either loose or needs replacement.
