i was thinking of getting a notebook computer, but im trying to find one for a reasonable price and i was wondering if the brand toshiba is any good

They're better than most of the brands in the store, but they're not the greatest. I have heard from a few people who claimed their Toshibas died for no apparent reason.

toshiba makes very good laptops. theyre a bit on the pricy side, but overall are very good machines. I personally would go to dell if you want a good low cost solution. you can usually save 20% or so on a dell machine compared to similarly configured toshibas/sonys/whatever.
i would also look into asus though. theyre priced similarly to toshiba, but are even better quality.
