Seattle, Washington is great. The weather is mild, even at Christmas (usually). There's lots to see that can be seen even on a budget. There's the usual tourist things that cost, like the Space Needle, the Pacific Science Center and Experience Music Project (EMP). There's also lots to see and do for free, or low cost, like ferry rides to islands, a drive to Mt. St. Helens, a drive around the Olympic Peninsula, lots of hiking and lots more.

Las Vegas! If you listen to those boring timeshare things, then they give you free tickets or shows or even money! I went to Vegas in July & the 2 of us only spent about $200 total! It probably helped that we don't gamble! We stayed a whole week & rented a car for a day to drive to the Grand Canyon!

Then you should visit the Bran Region (near Brasov) in Romania. Fabulous landscape, great food and nice people. And also Dracula's castle. It's not expensive at all.

South Island, New Zealand. There is everything to do down there. Skiing snowboarding, bungy jumping, white and black water rafting, shot over jet, hiking wine trails, surfing, you get my drift.
