2 NaCl + 2 H2O → Cl2 + H2 + 2 NaOH

Just in case you do not know. Chlorine is extremely toxic and is listed as a potential weapon of mass destruction. Don't be so stupid, and if you are planning anything stupid then seek psycological help quickly.

One way is by the electrolysis of concentrated aqueous sodium chloride, aka table salt.
At cathode: 2H+(aq) + 2e --> H2(g)
At anode: 2Cl-(aq) --> Cl2(g) + 2e
And there you have it! Chlorine gas which can be prepared even at home!

You could use any strong acid (though HCl would be preffered) and a hypochlorite bleacher (dunno if they're available in USA). The reaction would be the following :

NaClO + 2HCl ----> NaCl + Cl2 + H2O

Learn about it first. Hopefully you'll learn how poisonous it is and how to handle it before you learn how to make it.
