I feel that all of the other male animals in nature have a covering for their penis. Who said that the male human should not have his? As long as a man keeps his penis clean shouldn't he be able to keep his protective covering?

Yes, as long as a man keeps his penis clean he should be able to maintain his protective covering.

I think the decision to get circumcised or not ultimately resides with that particular individual, unless it's a matter of religion, where I won't allow myself to comment. It isn't right nor natural I think to automatically remove something that all men are born with, just because a culture is ingrained into thinking it's better with it removed.

Circumcision is more of a cultural thing than a medical or necessary thing. About 80% of the world's male population are uncut, and the vast majority of them seem to be getting along fine. Because it's possible to make an argument for health reasons, and sometimes it does need to be done for health reasons, it's a procedure that can be defended by overdramatic elements for a long time; otherwise, it'd probably last as long as foot-binding in China.

Philosophically and logically, automatic or infant circumcision makes no sense. You don't remove something to prevent problems that MAY happen when in fact the vast majority of the itme no problems happen at all. Why not remove the appendix or the tonsils? Why not remove wisdom teeth as soon as they come out? Can all those cause problems? Yes. Do people pre-emptively remove them? No. If a circumcision is needed, then it's needed, otherwise, leave it as nature made it.

I agree with you dezyre, I feel that men shouldn't be circumcised, I feel it goes against a mans rights. Why is it OK for people to do things like that to a guy, but if some were to put a knife to a girls body in any way it would be considered mutilation!?! I just hope one day people can STOP being so small minded!

FYI: A uncircumcised penis is much more sensitive (sexually) compared to a circumcised penis.

no 1 person can decide that, your right that its the normal thing, its what we are born with (the foreskin) BUT it has been because of lack of cleaning (people even 100 years ago only bathed once a year in june to be exact) because it can get so easaly infected it has been just normal to do so. Yes religion played a big part in it(and still does for some religions) and europe proves it can be fine to be un cut. But the problem is, in America, do you honestly think teens that bathe once every 2 days...or worse for the nasty kids/poor kids/rednecks will clean there? its just easyer to not have to hassle about it...as far as i know, you dont get more or less pleasure if you have one, so i really dont care, im cut tho

there is no valid medical reason for circumcission. people generally do it for hygenic or religious reasons. but you were right, as long as a man keeps his penis clean, there should be no problem. however, it is hard to argue on the basis of religious beliefs. thus, to each his own. the decision to be cut or not is for the individual man to do. cheers!

Male circumcision provides for better sex for both the man and his partner, improved hygiene - even the most fastidious of uncircumcised men accumulate smegma, which is a fertile culture medium for fungal and bacterial infections, more attractive appearance to most women, improved comfort and self esteem etc etc etc............... Circumcision is the simplest and most beneficial procedure which man has ever devised to improve on natures imperfect work.
