My guinea pig is going to give birth soon, and I know you have to separate the males from the Mother and sisters after four weeks, to prevent them from mating with each other, but do I have to separate each male from one another? I heard male guinea pigs cannot get along together in the same space, so does that mean I have to put each male in a separate area? Is what I heard even true?

Male guinea pigs who are fro the same litter can be kept together as a group so long as there no females about for them to fight over. The babies should be split from mum at 5 weeks to wean them and the babies split males from females at six weeks. Make sure Dad is not inthe same cage or he could impregnate the female babies as young as 4 weeks old.

No you do not have to separate the males from each other. You need to take the males away from the mother at about 1 month old - sometimes sooner - keep an eye out for any kind of breeding - if you hear that purr they make then its getting close to time. One of mine just had a litter with 3 boys they stay in the same cage together no problems and the girls stay with the mom. Good Luck on yours!

Depends on the animals.
As they grow males can become territorial and fight, especially if they can still see/ hear/ smell females.
Keep an eye on them and see, but you may need to find other homes for some of the males or keep certain characters seperated.

no the malesu will not have to separate them, since they've known eachother since birth, it is unlikely that they will fight
