Fernando Pessoa once wrote that there is a totally different understanding of time when someone falls off a cliff by mistake in comparison to someone diving down the cliff voluntarily...

The saying time flies when you're having fun doesn't mean that time is shorter when your having fun. It just means that it goes by faster. You can't actually prolong your life by being miserable but time seems to go a lot slower than it actually does.

time flies is just an expression which means that we never want the time to finish off when we are enjoying ourselves. that is because we are so engrossed in having the time of our lives that we just do not worry about the time. but when we are miserable, we are just thinking about why the time does not pass quickly. we become very conscious about the time, whereas when we are enjoying, we do not worry about time. it does not mean that time actually goes fast and slow. because if you are having a happy time, maybe some other person across the world is having a miserable time. time cannot go slowly for one and fast for another. that is why, time is one. we cannot shorten or prolong our lives just by changing the way we see life.

Even if it works, I don't know anyone who would be willing to try. After all, whats the point of a super long life if it is going to be miserable the entire time? That sounds more like hell! I would rather live an average length, fun-filled, and exciting life.

I have known two people who seemed to take delight in living in misery and making life miserable for others. The first died of the disease she said she would (cancer) if her children did not respect and love her as much as she wished. She died around 70. The second was really a master of misery. She lived until just before her 105th birthday. Their longevity really came down to their genetic inheritance. The people who had to put up with them ended up "serving time" in their presence.

I like the concept though. It's mate would be: "Only the good die young!"

Two other people I know apologised for being unpleasant and started atonement. Unfortunately, they died before the year was out.

I makes you think .....!

Then what's the point? It's like having eternal life, but not eternal youth. You just sit there miserably to make sure you are still breathing. And with my luck, I'd try it, then accidentally walk out in front of a bus.

Do not make life miserable for silly things. Even if you prolong, why do you want it? You will ask for mercy killing then. Do not attempt unnecessary things.

Have a ball.

Answer Yahoo....

Play and have fun.

Have war and try for peace.

GOOD ONE...

I sure wont mind having fun and lose track of time.... but being miserable and having time is not worth it.

Its better to die than to suffer. Time should not be the issue. Happiness is the concern here. If you cannot be happy dont be here.....
