A lot and for a consistent time period.

To work off that many calories cardiovascular workouts would benefit you much better. Like a light jog for 20 minutes, a hard run for 15 or speed walk for 30 minutes.

there are some other ways to burn calories aside from crunches and much faster than it,so why try it anyway?!You can burn calories while laughing .

when i was in track in field, i had to do 1500 crunches at every practice.

about 1200. it will take a lot of crunchies if you just do it, not with running or swimming.
