People, get a grip please.
There was life on earth thousands of years before Adam and Eve. The bible can only trace civilisation (if thats what you would like to call it) back to about 3,500BC. Struth the Australian Aboriginals inhabited this continent for 40,000 years.
Get you heads out of the book and see the real facts.

Well, anything to do with the Bible is open to interpretation and when doesn't fit, you can always use errors in English translation. I agree with you, and ask this question. If Adam and Eve were the first humans, and Eve bore Cain and Abel. We know that Cain slew Able. Cain was banished from the land of Eden, to the land of Nod, where he knew his wife. Where did Cains wife come from if Adam and Eve were the first humans?
I am not religious, and cant even find a Bible to back up my thoughts. But it is my opinion that mankind was already in existence long before Adam and Eve rolled around. I think the Bible traces the origin of the descendants of the "12 tribes of Jacob/Israel" and not all of mankind.

first of all the Bible says so but if you want another explanation here it is. humans learned to talk on their own, they named the threes the bird..they founda term to express pain and happyness so it couldn't have been so hard to find a name for the first man and woman. the name adam means "red earth"
