my husband is disabled and cant get a job at the time and neither can i. he has athletics foot and foot fungus and cant go to the doctor because we cant afford it. now his foot is pitch black and smushy. i dont know what to do it is black and attracts flies when his shoes are off. we soak them all the time and it still dont help. he cant even wiggle his toes and i am affraid that it will fall off. please help.

Well you are too late if it is black and smells and flies come! It is dead already and if you dont take him soon he will loose his entire leg!!!! I am sure if you call the hospital they have help for people with no insurance and no money. I worked in a hospital and there is always help! YOou just have to take him before all the blood in his body gets infected!

Not to scare you but, it sounds like his foot has died basicaly. You better get him to a hospital so the can cut it off now before it spreads. My Grandfather hads a toe that turned black and that's what his doc told him.

In some cases you can pay for the bill later or get
a loan. But if you had went to the docter earlier then
it would not have cost much.

take him to the e.r. they have to see him. Usually after the visit, you can apply for assistance. Also apply for Disability, they have a ticket to work program for the disabled. They find you a job that suits you disability. You NEED TO TAKE HIM TO THE DOCTOR!!!!!

I hope to God this is a joke.... if it isnt your husbands foot is infected and probably septic and will probably have to be amputated. If you don't get to a Dr soon you will probably be a widow
