(1981) Tristan Rogers, Robert Scorpio from "General Hospital"; at a "Meet & Greet" at a theater I used to work at. He wasn't getting paid for his appearance and the owner of the theater and his manager were having it out. His ex-wife, Barbara, was with him.
(1984 - '85) Same theater a few years later; Michael E. Knight and Lawrence Lau, Tad Martin and Greg Nelson from "All My Children"; Larry was smashed and they on their way to a party... Lost all respect for Mr. Lau after that. Had photos taken with them.
(late '90's) Wayne Newton; tall. Willy Nelson; short.
Tanya Tucker; tubby tummy. Saw the inside of her tour bus; the golden one that only the public is privy to. She lives out of the "other one" while she's on the road. One of her roadies showed me while I was leaving work.
(2002) Met Chris Isaak and his band members. They got separated at a "Meet & Greet" at a major casino that I used to work at. I got to escort his band members to safety and to an exit...
(mid 90's) Richard Simmons at a mall appearance. His arms were sweaty and like stuffed sausages.
(2002) Jamie O'Neill ("There Is No Arizona"). Her handsome husband and newborn son weren't too far away. It was a small theater and it was only half-full. She had some weight on her from her son's birth, which she has since lost.
(1978) Neil Diamond. Got my picture in "People" magazine.
I was standing at the edge of the stage after the concert (with 2 - 3 other older women), reaching towards him when a photographer snapped the picture that ended up on the front page of his feature article in "People".
And now for a final tale that's not mine: (late 80's) A neighbor's sister and her sister's friend went to Atlantic City. They got separated and the friend went up alone in the elevator to their floor. The elevator stopped and picked up a black man and his two Doberman Pinschers. She had just won a tidy amount of cash and all she could think of was how she was gonna be raped, mugged, etc. She and the man got to talking and when she stepped off the elevator, she turned to him and confessed her fears. When the women checked out of the hotel, there was a huge arrangement of flowers waiting for her at the front desk with a note that read,“Thanks for a good laugh! Lionel Richie"

Not personally but my friend's sister was at the mall and saw AJ from the Backstreet Boys shopping and she actually approached him and asked him if he was him and said he was really nice about it...a while later she was shopping in another store and he came up to her and asked her why she looked so sad and she started talking to him about how her boyfriend had just broken up with her and it was right before homecoming and stuff...he felt so bad for her and he just kept walking and talking with her about stuff and he helped her pick out a dress for the dance and she helped him pick out a dog for his "then" girlfriend...and he asked for her phone number so he could check up on her and see how the dance went...she didn't think he would call, but sure enough about a month later, she gets a phone call from him...she said he's one of the nicest guys ever :)

yes, a while back I saw Uncle Phil from the Fresh Prince of Bel Air at Disney Land riding Pirates of the Carribbean with my family. (That was when his show was still on the air) and it was at night, and someone yelled 'It's Uncle Phil!' and shone their flashlight on his bald head lol. Didn't talk to him or anything, but he seemed nice, and after the ride signed a bunch of autographs...
I also know someone in MLB who is a very nice person, and the daughter of a HOF baseball player is a family friend. I never got to meet him, b/c he died before I was born, but she tells me about him and he seemed like a really nice guy too...

A lot of celebrities look different when you see them in person. Still attractive etc. but usually thinner, often smaller. Just doing regular stuff--shopping, eatting, walking in New York, Chicago or LA
