I tend to agree: but why stop at American Idol? America's Got Talent does the same thing: allow BOTH talented and NON-talented contestants to pass first and second stage auditions only for the latter to make buffons of themselves on network TV in front of the judges!!!
And it's there where I draw the line and feel "reality TV" really needs to go. It's tired exploition of people, done way too overmuch and TV needs to find it's new angle for audiences.

Why are they bogus? They are looking for a couple hundred people out of tens of thousands. There may be good singers who are cast aside. Look at Taylor Hicks, Simon Cowell didn't even want him, but he went all the way to win it. Just watch the show during the audition rounds. Those people suck *** and then they go away crying cause they didn't make it.
If you really want to get even and make your voice heard. Join up on "VoteForTheWorst.com". These people are there to keep American Idol in check. They have a LiveJournal which is where much discussion takes place.

I wasn't a brilliant David cook dinner fan the two, yet seem what proportion runners up have unquestionably had much extra effectual careers. Chris Daughtry have been given booted, and seem at him now. i'm continuously a splash miffed whilst my favs get voted off, yet i think of the teach is a brilliant little escape. i do no longer take it heavily, yet I appreciate it. i am! the show exploits dumb losers that think they sing good but they actually dont. they end up making an a$$ out of themselves and people just start laughing, while the producers of the show get a whack of money!

OK I'm with you ..........What's American Idol........It doesnt matter I'm with you a 100% ..........I have never watched that show and I will never watch that show ever...my word is my bond...........................................
