I have these dreams very often - of being buried alive. As a result, I get edgy even if my comforter is anything higher than the base of my neck. I have dreamt that people are smothering me with something, burying me alive. Any ideas on what this means?

Strangely , I have this dream only mostly when I am sleeping alone. I wake up absolutely terrified, heart pounding away.

I'll wake up fr these dreams screaming wildly too sometimes. Once, my kid heard me and she was terrified.

Buried Alive = dead =lost respect, escape from responsibilities.
You may have fear, fear of responsibilities. Maybe you are not respect as the way you wanted to in reality. That is why you projected yourself buried alive. You projected people burying alive because they may not care about what you say, what you do in reality. You subconscious mind is telling you to give up and let them bury your alive. So that is why you keep having this dream
Advice: Open up a little, if you need respect, try from small things first

I have reoccurring dreams of being suffocated by oversize, I mean HUGE, spiders, bugs, and snakes. Some of the answers I have been getting is that something is taking control of my life or that something in my life is unsettled. Do you feel this way?

i think being put in a tight coffin and then being buried is way worse, like the movie "Kill Bill 2". You cant move your body and you just lie in the darkness for a few days until you die.

i've dreamed a couple of times that i was suffocating, once i woke up and gasped for air, apparently i was holding my breath, another time, i had taken medication and woke with the blanket wrapped around me so tight i couldn't breathe.
