No that isn't peer pressure. The phrase peer pressure often carries a negative connotation, in particular as it relates to adolescents being persuaded to partake in potentially behavior disapproved of by parents, such as drug and alcohol use, and skipping school. Although the causes of such events are hotly debated, peer pressure is also considered by many to be the root cause of several recent tragedies in the United States involving young people.

No this is not peer pressure - it is good advice especially if you really need glasses. Peer pressure is if for example all you mates are doing drugs and they all keep telling you to do it too.

Most likely they're just looking out for you. Peer pressure is being pressured into doing things that certain social groups do just to be "cool".

No that is a considerate friend who is concerned about you.
Peer pressure would be getting you to buy THOSE glasses because they are cool / they are like his / he wants some like that etc....

If you're trying to use a pun on the word "peer", then I have to say that peer pressure is probably the suggestion that somebody needs incontinence pads.

I thought that you wore your glasses & were debating contact lenses? and you do not really seem the type to give into peer pressure.
You are adorable either way!

No, that's *not* peer pressure. Or at least not in the contextual sense. What it is is some ordinary people, seemingly, trying to advise their friend. Do as they say, it's good to be moulded by kind friends.

if your eyesight is genuinely poor, and your friends are truly concerned, then no - your friends are just looking out for you
but...
if they are all wearing glasses and think that you would `fit in better` if you did as well... THAT is peer pressure

No, silly. Peer pressure is when you put a lot of weight on a boat dock.
