1. Wear only DARK TAILORED SUITS, CONSERVATIVE CUT AND LENGTH TO KNEE (never longer), WOOL OR NON CRINKLE FABRIC. Synthetics tend to retain odor even after dry cleaning. NO REDS Please.
2. BLOUSES: Solid colors, long sleeves, with collar buttoned all the way from the top.
3. NECKWEAR: A good light scarf conservatively draped is acceptable.
4. SHOES: LEATHER PUMPS or Laced Oxfords with heels, AND DARK. No REDS, OR LIGHT COLORS.
5. HOSE: Natural skin tones only. BLACK is acceptable.
6. ACCESSORIES: A BRIEFCASE, or HANDBAG. Not both. Transfer essentials or makeup to a clutch, which fits inside your briefcase.
7. BELTS: Conservative and the width of the waistband.
8. PANTS: Stay away from, but if necessary, wear only a tailored conservative pant/ suit.
9. JEWELRY: Less and small is more. Nothing dangling.
10. MAKEUP: Professional and less to complement the colors of clothes.
11. HYGIENE: Please do not wear any cologne or fragrance. Your interviewer may be allergic and this is the best way to cut the interview short.

If you are in Inida, it is better to wear Choodidar.

I am also looking for work, so I KNOW this one. The advice I have been given is:

When interviewing,
(1) look Professional,
(2) act Professional,
(3) BE Professional.

As a gentleman, I try NOT to comment on anyone's attire, so I will limit myself to the simple fact that NO one ever thinks negatively on more formal dress unless they specifically ask for casual...and I have NEVER heard any negative comments about wearing the "uniform" (in my case, full business suit) for an interview.

Much success to you! Take Care, and Good Hunting!!!

I would say something conservative, like a pantsuit. I feel that it's best to overdress than underdress. You can always ask about the dress code of the company during the interview.

Wear your hair pulled back into a French twist or braid. Just no high ponytails, they look junior high schoolish.

consevative clothing. a skirt or dress that is at least knee length, a nice blouse that does not reveal too much or a nice classy pantsuit. no jeans no heavy makeup or perfume and nice low heels or flats no open toes.

Best bet is always to wear a suit...you may want a pant suit with a bootcut leg, since they make your legs look slightly longer.
