what is the connection betweenn Gordon theTV show host and V?

examples: they both say "if the govenment searched my place you would be the least of my worries" to EV

gordon cooks same exact breakfast as V the fist night EV stays over their houses and both say "bonjour mademoiselle"

and Gordon refers to himself when he says "once a man hides behind his mask for too long he forgets who he is"

obviously Gordon isnt V, so what are those references for

Hm, this is a very interesting question...

I think its mostly to help people realize that V was really everyone. Gordon was not the 'terrorist' V was, but he, too, hid behind a mask and had almost forgotten who he really was because of it. He is just like V in that regard, though V takes the whole mask thing a but more literally.

In the society in which the movie takes place, everyone used masks, whether literal or figurative. The priest hid behind his church mask, while raping little girls. Gordon hid behind his public persona, while secretly he liked men. Everyone used masks, V was just the most public of the mask-wearers.

In the movie,it's implied that Gordon has a rep for asking young ladies to spend the night.
Second, did you see the photos on the wall? He's a homosexual.
If his house was searched, they would find the photos. Remember,Gays are considered undesirables in that society.
It's a coincidense that they cook the same breakfast for Evie. It's simple to make.
Third, Gordon has been hiding his sexuality so long that he has doubts about what he really likes.

I think this was just to emphasize the point that V was everyone. He represented all the people, including Gordon, which is why he always remained in the mask. Maybe there's a more complex explanation, but that's what I got from it.

none.... they saw that the government was practically denuding the public of the real democracy, inventing lies and hiding truth... the dictatorial rule... and they both hated it.

just semantics about the breakfast and greetings...

once a man accepts the pill he was given, he hides his objections, and later on just go with the flow.... forgetting that he hates his current state and lives as blind as the other, forgetting he can make a difference in life if he stands up and fight the corruption.

You know that's a good question.

I took note of the breakfast reference too, but didn't think too much about it.

Let me mull this over for a while....
