USD is more important - the Sterling is too over rated and too expensive. Euro - may be when you are in Europe - but most people around the world take the USD - it si actually a pretty decent currency to carry and it is very easy - I wish, I had USD in my country - things would be much easier.

In world trade often the superpower county's currency is important.
At present, it is of course USD which is more important even though the rate of Euro or Sterling is higher than that of USD. May be it is only because the liquidity and recognition of the currency matters more than price of the currency.

Outside of Europe and the UK, USD is typically used to quote prices in international business. This provides a quick reference to determine the value of the transaction without having to do any conversions.
