I have heard though many sources that the world hates Americans, as one, I am wondering why? Really? All views are welcome. Educate me, and all of us please. Personally I have done nothing wrong, but want to know why we are so hated.

Everybody has a person or a type of person they don't like. some people don't like french, Italians, Spanish etc, others have a problem with a person's personal beliefs. You see, what one person likes there is certainly at least one person that dislikes. I personally am not an American but I have a lot of American friends and they really are nice people. some have a problem with a certain concept one has or a type of behavior or ideology. To have something against a whole nation...now that is completely crazy. there are good and bad people everywhere, every nations has its good side and bad side since we all are humans and mistakes are to be expected not perfection. some people actually look up to Americans (as a nation) you have to understand that the people that have something against Americans...disagree with some concepts, ideas etc...they don't have something against you personally. of course there are extremists that would wipe a nation off the face of the Earth but these people are a whole different story since there are in every country such individuals...some even turn against their own. I have met a lot of people that had the wrong idea about my country...some don't even know where it is on the map.....and once they saw it they didn't want to leave. so you see you have to know the person and see the whole picture before you have a real opinion. and yes, I agree with the fact that envy has a lot to do with what people think about Americans. Some don't like Americans because they don't pay attention to anything but themselves, or they don't even talk to you if you say your not American. Also some Americans say they have the best education and everybody else is an ignorant.well I have friends that have moved to the US and wanted to continue school and here there were in the 9th grade and when they got there the teachers moved them to the 11th grade. and those kids were far from being geniuses. Some Americans do think really low about others and it's not fair. I do believe the US has a lot of valuable things but I think if one wants to prove to others he or she is better he should though something they know better than others not by saying their Americans.We are all born equal and an educated person sees everybody as their equal no matter if we're talking about a doctor for instance or about a disabled person because if a person can be inferior to you in one instance there is certainly another instance in which you are inferior to that individual. As a conclusion....the world doesn't hate Americans...you made it sound like it's a general idea, something everybody does...and it's not the case. you sources couldn't have covered the whole world...At least in my country American students, teachers, tourists were always very welcomed and cared for.

USA is a super power and can be very aggressive with many other nations. The people of the US don't know enough about other countries and tend to be one sided.... not all but the ones that yell the loudest make the others look bad... I really like the states and enjoy going there but it seems alot of Americans don't know much outside of their own country about other countries cultures and even geographically alot of Americans seemed to lost when you ask them a question outside of their country.
I dunno but I do know we all bleed the same colour and we all need to respect each other more all over the world.

Well I'm Australian. I have been to America and have family that live there. The problem is that a lot of Americans are very arrogant. It has nothing to do with jealousy.... America annoys the crap out of so many countries. Sorry it's the truth.
/not all Americans are like this I have to add.

maybe it has something to do with the "we're the best country in the world" stuff spewed out of so many people's mouths. No country is better than the rest, right? but many Americans think 'those dirty mexicans' and 'those sand n**gers' are below us.
