I think it's a large part of it. I think English actually glues the whole world together. Take air traffic control for example. It doesn't matter if you're in Italy, Russia, Kenya, Mexico, or Chile, the pilots and Air Traffic Controllers are ALL talking in English.

No, in general Canada has a large number of people with ties to the French. In case you didn't notice, the Canadians have been siding more with the French. Australia has forgot it's own history. They have more laws and regulations than China does. UK is wishy-washy. Plus, the experts are predicting that the Mexicans will be the largest population in the US soon and the Muslims will be in Europe. So, what happens then?

Sorry,but 60% of the world does not speak English. The most recognized languages are French,Chinese and Spanish.
