Umm...

"Daylight" by Coldplay......probably cause of the moodiness in the song, its almost always in a low tone, when they just go high, it comes crashing right back down, into that feeling of nothingness.

"Trouble" by Coldplay....its kinda weird, its all happy but whenever it goes low it has the background sound, that has the setup as Re-Do-Ti. At around 2:12 thats like the best part of the song, and whenever the singer goes low the music follows a little soon after.

"Black Hole Sun" by Soundgarden...Its just the sound of the song, the little echo in the beginning that gave a constant reminder of how great or horrible the 90's were. I was just a very young kid, when i would hear this song, but the guitar just goes low and has these two dual low notes and then comes back in hope with a semi-high note. They dont try to overdue things with screaming and such. Try listening to eat individual instrument they use, and it will sound very sad.

Only Black Hole Sun is my favorite song of all the other two are just sad. Sorry if i overdid it heh.

"I'll Follow You Into The Dark," by Death Cab For Cutie - It's sung from a man's point of view to his dying wife/girlfriend. This is the chorus: "If Heaven and Hell decide that they both are satisfied, illuminate the no's on their vacancy signs, if there's no one beside you when your soul embarks, then I'll follow you into the dark." Absolute devotion is a beautiful thing to watch.
My boyfriend told me about it and I looked up the lyrics, read the first three lines, and started to well up. Find it. You won't be disappointed. Oh, and if you can find the video, the version with the pair of bunnies in the book, you'll cry your eyes out. I'm welling a little just thinking about the two little bunnies...

Mad World by Gary Jules
The original version by Tears For Fears doesn't sound very sad, but this version, with the instrumental elements and the kind of raw voice really makes the lyrics stand out. It's a good song, I recommend it to you if you've never heard it.

In the Ghetto by Elvis Presley

This has to be my favorite Elvis song. It is a socioeconomic piece with ramifications that implores the government to do something about the dead-end lifestyle in the ghettos of America or as where this song was set, Chicago. The words just touch me in a way that I feel that I am that boy lying face down in a gutter in the ghetto as the snow flies.

You should listen to Avril Lavigne "The day you slipped away". If you have then that's great! Well that's the only song that popped up to my head that i think is the saddest song. It's really depressing especially the lyrics.

Stevie Wonder- I'd Never Dream You'd Leave In Summer.

There's a story to it.

My grandad died on June 21 and the number of the song is 21
and he died on the first day of summer. (June 21) and the song just explains everything I felt.

"Alone Again, Naturally" by Gilbert O'Sullivan. Why? The lyrics. Or most anything by The Smiths or Mazzy Star or Joy Division.

1. Adam's Song by Blink182- just thinking about the first few notes already makes my eyes start to water.

2. Blue And Yellow by The Used-Bert McCracken wrote this song for his best friend who killed himself. They play it at every show. And just before they do, Bert tells everyone to put their arm around their best friend, tell them how much you love them, and never let it go.

3. Broken Hearted by Eighteen Visions- It's plain and simple. I relate to every word of that song. So, I guess it's just personal.

...i'm done. this is kinda depressing...
