Both are high priority!!!
The ideal situation would be finding part-time work in your Field of Interest...while you're studying...or, at least a summer job related to your schooling.
For Example: If 10 recent grad students ( coming out of the same program )...& all within the same grade-point range were to apply for the same job...And, only one had any practical training at all...That One Student would have a Definite Advantage over the others!
That's why Co-Op Schooling Programs are very popular with Employers, as well as Students. ( ie. Students combine studies with actual work experience...Becoming much better candidates for jobs than those with Only practical training...or Only those with Only School Studies behind them! )
