sociology is a value free?

When I took Sociology class, I found it to be value-free. But I was also young and naive at that time, and looking back I realize that the book, the professor, and my classmates all injected many subjective values into the material. Passing the exams required telling the professor certain liberal answers that he wanted to hear.

I think at its essence Sociology is supposed to be value-free, but in reality this is a Utopian ideal that is seldom realized.
