Depends on who's asking the question and who the person wearing the garment is. Lots of men and women like to see men in g-strings, but the thing is, the guy wearing it must have an exceptional body, otherwise it's just going to make a mockery of his body. But there is an exception. If wearing a g-string makes the guys feel better about himself, then I suppose he should do as he pleases.
In my opinion, wearing jockstraps outside of playing sports is pointless. They don't look very appealing, and what is the point? Why not wear a low rise brief instead? Or a nice sculpted pair of boxer briefs? One thing I've learned, no matter what a person prefers, a sexy body and attitude can pull either off.
You're going to get many contrary remarks for this question, but you've got to take into consideration, most straight men are going to castrate you for asking such a question, because it becomes a masculinity issue. Few to no straight men will go onto a public forum like this and tell you that he thinks you should go with the g-string. I think women are pretty much split down the middle 50/50.
Bottom line, find out what your partner likes and go for it.

Depends on the guy, some are sexier in jockstraps and some in g strings.
Don't know why that is. They both have the power to draw attention, but there are a lot of other variables being affected, too.

By far a jockstrap designed to cover up just the right amount of guys package and way leg straps cress the guys man hole.

a g-string is for women, so it effeminizes a man. a jockstrap is much more sexy in a masc way.

Depends on the man. If it a jock/athlete, the jock strap. If the guy is really toned, I prefer to see the g-string

I second Mark S, couldn't put it better myself and saved me some typing. Thanx mark S, but i personally perfer g-strings. because i like the why they make me feel so sexy, so many styles and colors.
