Howlin' Wolf and Jim Morrison sang a song called Back Door Man and there is a lyric that references the term Back Door Man as being something men don't know and the girls understand...so, as my being a man, I have no clue what they mean. Can someone help me out?

The phrase "Back door man" refers to a man having an affair with a married woman, and presumably comes and goes through the back door of her house.

Why ask only the ladies: why not inculde real rock n' rollers? Me being, of course, of the latter....allow me:

"Back Door Man" is the term for "the other man"; a boy-toy (way before THAT term found 80s household fame) for married or taken women....you can go from there.

Howlin' Wolf and Morrison weren't the only rockers to use the term in songs: CCR, Led Zeppelin, early AC/DC ( in more ways than the one explained....wink, wink!!), The Clash, The Cult, The Beatles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Journey, Foreigner and Night Ranger....just to mention a few....all have songs using the term "back door man".
