I'm wondering how to tell children about gay's and lesbian's. I'm a lesbian and my daughters dad lives with his gay friend but he is straight. My kids wanna know why mommy kisses a girl and why daddy's friend kisses boys.

This is a very tough question but I'm glad someone asked. Children's minds are very sensitive. What ever you put inside their heads at a young age will be with them for the rest of their lives. Depends on how old they are really. If they are already in school, chances are they will hear about these kind of things with their peers. If that is the case, I suggest you be straight with them about the situation because they can already understand what a gay and lesbian is. But don't give too much information, they don't need a very detail explanation on it. Just tell them that this is about like/love and spending time with the person you like/love. For a kids that haven't been to school yet, I think don't use the term gay and lesbian yet but explain it the same way. As they get older, they will understand the situation as they comprehend it. They might ask you questions about it from time to time as their maturity grows and it's up to you how much information they can undertand that you are willing to tell them.

Explain to them that you show physical affection (in age-appropriate terms) towards women because you feel a special romantic bond with girls, not boys. Emphasize that your ability to express love to another human (who just happens to be female) overshadows the sex of those your are sexually/emotionally able to connect, and be aroused by.
There is no shame, nothing 'weird' about two consenting adults expressing affection.

mommy likes girls and daddy's friend likes boys simple as that. although...... probably best 2 put it out there that some ppl dont understand y girls like other girls and y guys like other guys, and although these ppl hurt us, we still feel sorry 4 them because they r not very open minded and they r not very smart.

well simple tell then some boys and girls like each other and love and date and marry and some boys like boys and love each other and some girls like other girls and love each other ad date tell them the truth

All I can say is I feel very sorry for your girls. They are forced to live with adults that chose a very unhealthy and sinful lifestyle. And it will screw them up for life. Poor kids.

you need to thank God that your kids are straight ........ otherwise you and your husband can not tell your kids why both of you lesbian and gays..........
